One World Trade Center - also dubbed the Freedom Tower - rises triumphantly to a height of 1776 feet in the financial district of lower Manhattan..  Work began on 1 WTC in 2006 and the skyscraper was topped out a year ago this week to become the fourth tallest structure in the world.  The 104-story 1 WTC is scheduled to open later this year.
