Anna Across America - Alexandria, Virginia




 Alexandria, Virginia - the home of many of our country's forefathers - welcomed the AAA tour to the city on the banks of the Potomac River just downstream from the District of Columbia.   At left,  Alexandria City Hall is a prominent fixture in Old Town Alexandria It was a site of a public market beginning in 1749.  The current City Hall was built in 1871.

The Old Town section of the city is known for its historic buildings and is teeming with art galleries, antique shops, and restaurants.
