Ah, it's SEC Championship Week and time to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Anna Trundle's appearance in the Dr Pepper Tuition Giveaway. But before we go to Atlanta we must celebrate where the scholarship journey began -- fittingly on Anna's own university campus, Mississippi State University. A land-grant university, Mississippi State was established in 1878 and is located in Starkville, Mississippi. Anna is among more than 20,000 students enrolled at Mississippi State. In 2014, she will graduate with a degree in Communications and join other famous MSU alumni that include John Grisham, author of best-selling legal thrillers, former major leaguers Will Clark and Rafael Palmiero, and Hartley Peavey whose last name is recognized as a world leader in musical amplifiers and related products.
For those of you stopping by for the first time, Anna's selection as a Dr Pepper scholar is the the stuff of dreams and she is the epitome of what the Dr Pepper Tuition program is all about with her infectious personality, humbleness, and good humor. Her quest is well chronicled in the articles below.
